David acts mainly for industrial concerns and investment funds.
His expertise covers the traditional areas of environmental law, from a regulatory and operational standpoint.
It also covers regulatory issues, in terms of safety and compliance, relating to market launched professional and consumer products (GMOs, chemicals, plant health products, medicines, cosmetics, etc.).
Following the expansion in the field of environmental law, his expertise now extends to issues such as the battle against global warming, the circular economy, and social and economic governance.
David has more than twenty years experience in his chosen areas of interest, which he began acquiring in 1995 at Gide Loyrette Nouel in Paris, then as a partner in charge of the “environment” practice from 2005 à 2010, followed by three additional years at Jones Day in Paris.
For the last 15 years, he has been featured annually in the Legal 500, Chambers and Who’s Who Legal Environment rankings and, since its inception, in the Best Lawyers rankings.
He is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (School of Public Services), holds an LLM from the Law Faculty at Northwestern University (Chicago), a certificate from the School of Public Services at DePaul University (Chicago) and a postgraduate degree (DEA) in public sector law and economics from the University of Paris II – Panthéon-Assas.
David also teaches environmental law at Paris-Dauphine University in the Master’s 1 degree in International Affairs and Development and at Paris-Saclay University in Sceaux in the Master’s 2 ‘Environment’ degree.
David recently published an article on Climate Change and Corporate Accountability (UIA / Lexis Nexis Publications – October 2020), an article on the emergent risks associated with PFAS (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) in Rivista Giuridica dell’ Ambiente (July 2018) and is the author of the French law chapter in the American Bar Association reference work ‘The Practitioners Guide to the Laws of the Planet” (September 2014).
